For Me, People Come First – Always!

Challenges of life can sometimes make one feel stressed and hopeless and can leave a person feeling alone and without support. Even surrounded by friends and family, you can feel alone. . . It can feel like no one in the world understands the thoughts and feelings swirling in your mind.  You may have considered reaching out for help, but that can feel like a scary thing to do. You wonder if you can find a counselor who really hears you and understands.

You deserve to be heard.

During out time working together, I promise you will always be heard and valued. Together we will work to restore your hope and renew your spirit. Yes, I have the necessary degrees and titles to be a counselor, but for me being a counselor is all about the people and the connections we make.

Working as a public school counselor here in Oxford for 28 years, I’ve learned to serve and support individuals of all ages and backgrounds from the youngest child to older teenagers, including their parents and teachers over multiple generations.  I’ll bring that same passion working with all members of our community.

I completed my doctorate in Counselor Education, but I continue to learn and grow in my knowledge to understand better ways to assist my clients. I am beginning my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and am completing my registered play therapy licensure.

When not working with my clients, my husband, Dave and I enjoy gardening, sailing and spending time with our children, dogs and cats.  Contact me direct at (662) 202-7332 or click to Email.
