When to seek help
You want to talk to someone. But talking to your family or friends just doesn’t feel safe.
There is always that fear of being dismissed and being told that you “shouldn’t” feel anxious or worried. When that happens, you feel like you are left adrift and all alone in the world. Then your inner critic speaks up and says, “Maybe they are right. I am stupid for feeling this way.”
You try to fight the feelings, but they only get worse. It’s a terribly distressing, never-ending, internal whirlwind.
If you’re thinking, “YES, THIS IS ME,” maybe it’s time to reach out.
As individual counselors, we understand your frustrations, and we can work with you to help address all types of problems.
Problems are varied and include a host of issues such as: addiction, controlling anger, anxiety, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, coping skills, working through grief and loss, depression, family issues, challenges with intimacy, relationship issues, parenting struggles, trauma and PTSD, and struggles with spirituality.
We can help!
Individual counseling focuses on your journey.
Sometimes we think that to focus on ourselves is selfish, but in therapy you have permission to focus on yourself.
You may feel like you need to make a change, but you’re lost about where to start. We are here to guide you toward developing the tools needed to address your unique concerns and get you back on the right path.
The heart of counseling is always about creating a caring and trusting relationship with someone who is committed to helping you improve your life.
You can learn the skills necessary to manage your life differently.
For our first visit, we’ll talk about what’s going on in your life now and gather some information about your past. You’ll let us know what your goals are for the future. We’ll work together to figure out how to help you achieve that vision.
No matter your issue, we have a counselor who can help.
Our therapists have a wide variety of education and experience. Depending on your needs, we may use any of the methods as defined on our ‘Types of Therapy’ page.
We even offer Sand Tray Therapy and Play Therapy for children.
